Loose and polished gemstones are also often included in the auctions.

Secondhand Jewellery & Watches – These occur fortnightly and principally consist of designer watches, gold, diamond and gem set jewellery sold on behalf of UK Pawnbrokers. The number of lots in these auctions is approximately 3000-4000 and items include gold chains, bracelets, pendants, diamond rings and contemporary watches such as Omega, Brietling and Cartier.

Watch Department

Wrist & Pocket Watches -These take place approximately every two months. The auctions include contemporary and modern watches including many brand names such as Rolex, Brietling, Cartier and Omega. Some of the watches are 1960s or 1970s models but many that we offer are as 'good as new'. The Pocket Watch section of the auction is made up of mainly vintage or antique timepieces in both gold and silver often with additional decoration to the watch or case. The auctions also include bagged watches suitable for repair and resale.

Silver Department

Silver, Plated Ware, Coins & Medals - These occur approximately every two months. The auctions include everything from Georgian silver tea sets, Edwardian salvers and Victorian candlesticks to more contemporary silver and novelty items such as pin cushions, scent bottles and trinket boxes. The Coin and Medal Section includes gold coins, base metal coinage and a wide range of presentation badges and medals.

Furniture Department

The Furniture Department has a schedule of 6 sales each year:

Antique & Later Furniture(3)

Toys, Dolls & Juvenilia(3)

The auctions of Antique & Later Furniture (etc) include a huge range of items from decorative coloured glass, paintings, rugs, to quality furniture and collectable items such as militaria. Estimates vary from as little as £25 to £25000 at the top end. An illustrated catalogue is available prior to the auction and can also be found on our web site.

Toys, Dolls & Juvenilia auctions take place quarterly and include toys and dolls from Victorian times through to more modern examples that most of us will remember from our childhood (and indeed from our own children's toy cupboards!).The enthusiasm for this growing collectors' field means that there are many surprises in these auctions. A colour illustrated catalogue is available prior to the auction and a virtual catalogue can be found on our web site.
