Secondhand Jewellery & Watches
|
The Secondhand Jewellery & Watch auctions occur fortnightly and principally consist of leading brand name watches, gold, diamond and gem set Jewellery; a proportion of these sales are offered on behalf of Pawnbrokers. The number of lots in these auctions is approximately 3000-4000 and items include gold chains, gold bracelets, gold pendants, diamond rings and contemporary watches such as Omega, Brietling, Rolex, Longines and Cartier. |
Each auction has a part illustrated catalogue and the catalogue can also be viewed online. Fellows aim to fully illustrate the sales online and due to the number of lots images become available the weekend or a few days before the auction.
The Secondhand Jewellery & Watch auctions are coordinated by Karen Southam DGA and Katja Schoebel with support from the Antique and Modern Jewellery Valuers and the Watch Department.
Costume & Silver Jewellery & Novelties
| |
The Costume & Silver Jewellery & Novelties auctions take place four times a year. The auctions include a variety of items from early 18th and 19th century paste jewellery through to 'diamante', marcasite, enamel, amber, jet and other items of period Jewellery. These sales also feature pieces by designers and companies such as Georg Jensen, David Andersen, Charles Horner, Murle Bennett, Liberty etc. There is also a large amount of assorted costume and fashion jewellery available to buy in large bag lots. |
The specialist sections within this catalogue include pieces of memorial and sentimental jewellery, Scottish jewellery and novelty items such as compacts, buckles, purses, pens, etc.
Each auction includes approximately 300-500 lots with estimates starting at as little as £20 and rising to around £400. A full colour, illustrated catalogue is available prior to the auction and lots can also be viewed online with images and condition reports for the majority of items. You can also find a virtual catalogue for this auction on the website. Live bidding for these auctions is available from www.invaluable.com/fellows
