9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Thursday

9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Friday

You may be requested to work additional hours (including Saturdays) in line with business demands.

JOB SUMMARY

Fellows & Sons are specialist auctioneers based in Birmingham. Due to the volume of work a new post is being created in our Coins & Medals department to assist with cataloguing of coins.

This vacancy is available immediately.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Computer literacy, conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (further Navision and Photoshop training with be provided).

Working knowledge of the internet, particularly in respect of research.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

• Prior numismatic knowledge desirable
• Interest and enthusiasm for subject
• Prior auction experience desirable not essential
• Interest or experience of current market trends within the subject
• Computer literacy
• Must have attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work
• Trustworthy
• Good timekeeping, commitment and attendance

DUTIES

• To accurately value, catalogue, grade and condition report
• Research skills
• Photography
• Assist with viewing and auction days
• Assist with pre and post sales operations
• Assist with the preparation and proofing of the catalogues
