What is a timed auction?

Timed auctions are similar to normal sales, but rather than lasting a few hours they can last several weeks. This extended time frame means you can re- submit new commission bids mid auction, should your initial maximum bid be beaten. In this event, you'll be notified, allowing you to bid again. Unlike our other sales, where you leave commission bids with Fellows on and offline, this auction only allows you to bid via:
www.the-saleroom.com/fellows

If you don't already have an account, you'll need to register, however this is a separate registration to the Fellows website. If you don't have access to a computer, we can register on your behalf and keep you updated with your progress throughout the auction.Please ask if you'd like to know more about this service.

Commission Bids

Commission bids are left in the form of a maximum bid you're willing to make. This is the highest amount you're willing to pay for the lot. Normally, as competing bids from other avenues cause the price to rise, the auctioneer will bid up to this value on your behalf. In this case, the-saleroom.com will automatically bid so that you remain in the lead up your maximum bid. This is kept confidential until it is exceeded by another bidder.
