BREITLING - a stainless steel gentleman's manual wind Cosmonaute Navitimer wrist watch circa 1968, the black dial with luminous Arabic numerals and silvered subsidiary dials, slide rule bezel, tonneau shaped case fitted to an associated black leather strap, with 17 jewel Venus calibre 178 movement. Dial, case and movement signed. Model number 809, serial number 1144821. Case diameter 40mm.

Condition Report:


Breitling watch movement is currently functioning. One case retaining screw is missing. Movement: Venus calibre 178 with letters TJ. utside Case Back: Marked stainless steel, signed and numbered 809 serial 1144821. rown: Bares Breitling 'B' mark. ushers: Believed to be original however this is not guaranteed. Case shows light scratches and scuffs as a result of general wear which may polish out however there are multiple chips the the corners of the lugs the worst of which being along the underside edge of the 6 o'clock side lugs. Luminous paint to dial is discoloured as a result of age, dial appears to be in reasonable condition for its age however there is a small patch of greenish discolouration to slide rule at the 55 marker. Plastic glass is heavily scratched and cracked and would benefit from being replaced. Fellows & Sons do not guarantee the working order or accuracy of any watches sold.
