Authentication Reports

Fellows are able to provide disclosure of after-market customisation to branded watches and jewellery upon request. These alterations can significantly reduce the value and saleability of an item that will no longer be regarded as genuine by the brand and insurer alike. Many brands will refuse to undertake maintenance on these items, some will only undertake maintenance if these customisations are put right at the client’s expense. Some brands do offer permitted upgrades that may enhance value, being able to provide proof of these may save a lot of questions later. An authentication report on its own makes no financial statement, it may however be prepared in conjunction with an insurance valuation or statement of current value.

Typical charge per item £25.00

Statement of Current Value

To provide confirmation of the current retail replacement price for a branded article. Full description and image, along with details of the closest current equivalent if the piece is no longer in production. Model, Movement and Individual Case and/or Serial numbers are also stated where applicable to provide proof of ownership and allow the item to be registered in the event of loss/theft. We routinely request any boxes and guarantee paperwork are brought in with the item. This may be available as a more cost effective option to a standard insurance valuation in many instances.

Typical charge per item £25.00
