A 9ct gold Avia wrist watch.

Condition Report

AVIA - a 9ct gold manual wind gentleman's wrist watch, the silvered dial with hourly applied gilt batons, date aperture to three o'clock, the circular shaped case hallmarked London 1966, fitted to a brown leather strap, ETA calibre 2408. Case width 32mm.

    Avia wrist watch, manual winding movement is not currently functioning, dial has marks, pitting and patches of discolouration, laminate is lifting in places, batons are tarnished, hands are tarnished and it appears that the luminous inserts have decayed and are missing, glass has minor marks, case has scratches as a result of general wear, noticeable scratching to the left hand side of the case at 9 o'clock which looks to have occurred when opening, crown has wear to the gold plating, later associated strap has signs of light wear with minor creasing, buckle has light scratching.
