Condition Report

Two 1930s diamond and enamel horse and jockey brooches. Each designed as a vari-cut diamond horse in mid-stride, with vari-colour enamel jockey, depicting riders at the 1939 Northolt races. With associated ephemera. Two diamonds deficient. Estimated total diamond weight 0.80ct. Lengths 3.6 and 3.8cms. Weight 9.3gms. With fitted case.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Two diamonds are deficient from one brooch on the horses front leg.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Some are chipped.

  • Some diamond possibly replacements.
  • Enamel in fair condition with some abrasion, surface scratches and chipped areas.

  • Small areas of enamel deficient.
