Ben Griffiths Shares His First Week At Fellows

We asked Ben a few questions to find out how he was settling in to his new role as Operations Manager....

 


So Ben, how did you find your first week here at Fellows?

The whole team have been fantastic, answering all of my questions and helping me when I get lost! The Auction experience is certainly an impressive sight; coordinating bids from within the room, on the telephone and via the internet needs to be seen to be fully appreciated.

How have you settled in to your new working environment?

Despite a strong Operational Management background I had no previous experience working in an auction house so my first week was spent writing copious notes and absorbing as much information as possible!

 

What does your role at Fellows involve?

My full role will be supporting Stephen in the day to day running of Fellows as well as looking at certain projects. One of the main areas I am helping with is how we look after our vendors; we want to ensure that trusting us with their valuables is a wise choice. Not only do we aim to provide the best returns for any lots but also keep them updated during the sale itself.

 

Going forward, are there any changes being made to certain areas of the business?

There are certainly lots of small tweaks in the pipeline now which will continue to improve the Fellows customer experience.

 

How would you describe working for Fellows?

As both an exciting and challenging place to work!
