The last twelve months have seen record auction figures for Fellows watch department with over 7000 wristwatches offered for sale across 30 sales with additional sales for pocket watches, watch parts and accessories. This confirms Fellows’ position as the largest auctioneer in the UK for watches and watch-related items.

www.watchauctions.co.uk was launched in February 2012 as a tool for watch valuers looking to check the state of the market for specific makes and models of watches. It provides average achieved auction prices for the top 23 watch brands sold by Fellows over the previous 24 months. These can be filtered further to take into account the condition of the watches and the presence of box and papers. Additional features such as serial numbers and video authentication guides for the major brands make this an indispensable site for valuers, dealers or collectors.

Fellows have now transformed www.watchauctions.co.uk into a fully-featured bidding site, allowing clients to buy, value or consign watches all in one place. As with Fellows’ website, online catalogues provide multiple high quality images and detailed condition reports for each watch. Clients can manage all aspects of their account directly, whether buying or selling, and a clear step-by-step guide is there to help auction novices.

Adrian Hailwood, Watch Business Manager at Fellows said: “Fellows has been a pioneer in the field of auction house technology, introducing the first live online bidding and mobile apps to the UK. This new website will offer a unique opportunity to buy, value and consign watches backed by the customer service, security and authority that Fellows is known for”.
