Auction Results: Vintage & Modern Wrist Watches

The first item to be auctioned was an 18k gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore wrist watch estimated at £5,000 - £7,000. This sought after timepiece instantly created a bidding war and eventually sold for an impressive £18,000.

 

The Rolex section of the sale didn't fail to impress. Lot 238 - a stainless steel Royal Navy issue Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner, circa 1970 sold for £23,000 under the hammer.

 

Lot 177 was also firm favourite with bidders. The stainless steel Rolex submariner bracelet watch, circa 2005 sold above its £2,400 - £3,400 estimate at £4,500.

 

Another anticipated item to feature in the auction was an 18k gold manual wind IWC Romana perpetual calender wrist watch. Designed with a silvered dial with black Roman numerals and a moon phase aperture to twelve o'clock, this classic piece sold for £3,400.
