Condition Report

An early 20th century 18ct gold sapphire and diamond ring. The oval-shape sapphire, with circular-shape sapphire sides and old-cut diamond duo spacers. Estimated dimensions of principal sapphire 5 by 4.2 by 2.4mms. Estimated total diamond weight 0.15ct. Ring size L. Weight 2.8gms.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds with small to moderate inclusions, some surface reaching. One diamond chipped.
  • Sapphires are a well matched medium blue hue, well saturated, with good to fair clarity and typical inclusions, some surface reaching.

  • Sapphires in fair condition with some abrasions and small chips.
