Condition Report

An early 20th century gold enamel, diamond and seed pearl brooch. Of kite-shape outline, the rose-cut diamond lattice, with seed pearl spacers, atop a blue enamel panel. Length 4.2cms. Weight 9.1gms.

  • Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and some discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Some diamonds with small nicks and cavities.
  • Blue enamel is in good condition, with minor pitting.
  • Seed pearls are a creamy white hue, with iridescent overtones and typical surface blemishes.
