A diamond, sapphire, ruby, pearl and cultured pearl brooch.

Description

Condition Report

A diamond and gem-set brooch. The vari-cut diamond, ruby, sapphire and cultured pearl flower, within an old-cut diamond crescent, suspending a rose-cut diamond accent pearl drop. Total sapphire weight 0.70ct. Total ruby weight 0.60ct. Estimated total diamond weight 2.50cts, I-K colour, SI-P1 clarity. Length 4cms. Weight 9gms. Pearl untested.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Possibly adapted from a larger/ different items of jewellery.
  • Some diamonds have surface reaching inclusions.

  • Light and dark inclusions can be seen scattered through some of the diamonds.

  • Sapphire has a medium blue hue with good clarity.

  • Rubies are a pinkish, to medium red hue, one has a surface reaching fracture running through the stone.

  • Colour and clarity grades may differ due to setting restrictions.

  • Principal pearl untested for natural origin.
  • Stones in good to fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
