Condition Report

An early 20th century sapphire and diamond brooch. The cushion-shape sapphire, with old-cut diamond trefoil surround and similarly-cut diamond sides. Estimated dimensions of sapphire 9.6 by 9.8 by 7.7mms. Estimated total diamond weight 1.20cts. Length 4.5cms. Weight 9.8gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamond fairly well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Sapphire is a purplish-blue hue, well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Sapphire in good to fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
