Condition Report

A Russian pre-Revolutionary gold, enamel coin brooch. The altered coin, depicting Catherine the Great in profile and script surround over a red enamel ground, with old-cut diamond border. Estimated total diamond weight 1.40cts. 56 zolotnik marks for between 1899 and 1908. Diameter 4.2cms. Weight 29gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Surface scratches/wear and minor discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds well matched and bright.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Enamel in good condition with minor pitting, small surface scratches and some verdigris towards the edges.
  • Unknow maker's mark possibly reads 'BK'.
