Our November Antique & Modern jewellery Auction features a wonderful selection of diamonds, as well as coloured gemstones and designer pieces. Star pieces include our front cover lots, 460 and 163 – a spinel and diamond four stone ring and a diamond three stone ring with a central stone of over 3 carats. Other lots not to be missed include a brooch with unique provenance, lot 88. Gifted to housemaid Nellie by the Evans-Lombe family following nine years of service, this piece is designed as a pretty emerald and pearl wreath and has the estimate of £700-900. 

Also offered this auction is an abundance of designer pieces to suit all tastes. For those who like to make a statement, lot 261 is a Ilias Lalounis geometric 18ct gold necklace. Similarly, lot 245 is another striking pair of gold earrings, by Elizabeth Gage with the estimate of £600-800. Another highlight of the designer section is lot 289, a pair of carnelian Van Cleef earrings in the distinctive Alhambra design (estimate £600-800). Created in 1968, this design signifies harmony and good luck and is now synonymous with the brand.
