An introduction to our October Antique & Modern Auction would not be complete without mentioning three standout pieces, lot 184, lot 192 and lot 372. Lot 184, is a 4.69 ct diamond single-stone ring, estimated at £15,000 - £20,000. Lot 192 is a pair of brilliant-cut diamond ear studs, each 2cts approximately, with a guide price of £8,000 - £12,000. lot 372 is a Cartier brooch from the estate of novelist Lady Mary Stewart. With great provenance, this brooch was designed for Lady Stewart after her publication of The Moon-Spinners. The brooch as such is an exquisite diamond and yellow diamond brooch, depicting a yellow diamond crescent moon and a swirling ribbon of diamonds.
