Adorning our catalogue front cover this month is lot 112, a pair of South Sea cultured pearl and diamond ear pendants with a unique and interesting design. The pearls are suspended by intricate diamond set cages, a setting that really highlights the lustre of the stones. Lot 199, is no less eye-catching. This Art Deco platinum diamond and onyx panel brooch is geometric, sleek and inherently stylish. The estimated total diamond weight for this piece is 3.20 carats at H-J colour, and it carries French assay marks. The estimate is £6,000-8,000.

Stepping back in time from our distinctly Deco brooch is another of our sale highlights, lot 32. This late 19th Century pendant was probably retailed by renowned Victorian jeweller E.W Streeter. It has the guide price of £5,000-7,000 and is sure to attract attention from collectors and connoisseurs alike.

Fittingly, our sapphires this September are truly lovely. The birthstone for this month is abundant this sale.  Highlights include lot 102, a sapphire and diamond cluster ring offered at £4,000-6,000, and lot 83, a diamond and sapphire two stone ring estimated at £1,500-2,000. Lot 17 is a Burmese sapphire and diamond dress ring, accompanied with a report from the British Gemmological Institute stating that the stone has no signs of thermal treatment.  This ring has the estimate of £1,000-1,500.
