Lot Description

Aesthetic movement cased silver perfume bottle, the cylindrical bottle engraved and gilded with exotic birds amongst palm trees and reeds, the perfume bottle opens to reveal a gilt interior with glass stopper. Hallmarked Sampson Mordan & Co (Sampson Mordan II) London 1881.Height of the perfume bottle measuring 54 mm.

The perfume bottle appears in very good condition with minimal scratches and marks. The gilding appears bright. A little tarnishing around the hinge. The glass stopper is fixed in position. The hallmarks are clear and legible. The case displays a little wear in keeping with the age and use, the date of 1881 has been written in the lining of the case.
