Lot Description

A selection of late 19th/early 20th century jewellery, to include a scroll engraved locket, a 15ct gold oval-shape brooch, a purple enamel and green paste pendant, a belcher link chain with faceted sphere spacers and two brooches. Some items AF. Locket stamped 9ct bk & ft. Brooch with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1885. Remaining unhallmarked.

Overall condition fair/poor. There are scratches and wear to all items in keeping with the age of the pieces. The chain is heavily worn with damage in places, the tongue of the clasp is metal and has possibly been replaced, the edges of the sphere worn. There is damage to the shell design brooch where the edging has split. There is discolouration to the brooch the back glass panel is missing. The locket is slightlt dented with discolouration to the inner rim. There is some slight abrasion to the green paste in the pendant. The enamel is in good condition, the back is discoloured. There are scratches and areas of discolouration to the fleur de lis brooch.
