Lot Description

1940's silver three piece tea service comprising teapot, twin handled sugar basin and cream jug, each of plain oval form with faceted sides, the teapot with fruitwood handle and finial to the domed lid.  Hallmarked William Suckling Ltd., Birmingham 1940. Maximum teapot length measures 11 1/4 inches (28.5 cm), gross combined weight 27.17 ozt (845 grams).

All three pieces are tarnished all over and display general surface wear, marks and scratches.  Some deeper scratches visible to some areas and also various minor nicks in the metal all over.  Slight loss of detail to some of the faceted edges.  Hinges to teapot lid in good working order.  Hallmarks are a little rubbed in places but all are legible.
