Lot Description

Four late 19th century mourning brooches, to include an 18ct gold split pearl and black onyx brooch, two woven hair panel brooches and a black plastic 'In memory of' brooch. Lengths 3.7 to 1.7cms.

Overall condition fair to poor. The in memory of brooch is significantly discoloured, with greening in areas. There are scratches and wear to the other brooches. The pin to the black onyx brooch is bent, the onyx and split pearls are in good condition and well matched. There is discolouration to the scrolling of the woven hair brooches and dirt to the hair panels.
