Distinguished Service Medal, George V, awarded to 'D.A. 9503. G.A. Abbey, Dk. Hd. R.N.R. H.M.S. Macfarlane. Aux. Patrol. 1916.', lacking ribbon.

London Gazette 27th June 1917 lists ''Dkhnd George Arthur Abbey, R.N.R., O.N. 9503D.A.'' as receiving the Distinguished Service Medal for ''services in vessels of the Auxiliary Patrol between the 1st February and the 31st December 1916''.
