Lot Description

A 1920s silver coral pendant, the floral carved coral oblong-shape panel, to the scrolling surmount, suspended from a textured box-link chain with coral bead accents. Coral untested for natural colour origin. Length of pendant 4.5cms. Length of chain 39cms. Weight 12.3gms.

Condition Report

The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Clasp stamped S.S. Clasp loop base metal, probable replacement. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue for Coloured Gemstones. Coral untested for natural colour origin. The coral is a very slightly mottled pinkish orange hue. Growth zoning visible to reverse of panel. Discoloured polyp holes visible. Coral beads to chain possible later additions, one slightly faceted, both with base metal mounts.
