Lot Description

A mid 20th century platinum sapphire and diamond three-stone ring. The rectangular-shape sapphire to the brilliant-cut diamond shoulders and ridged band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.45ct, H-I colour, VS-SI clarity. Weight 2.9gms.

Condition Report

Overall condition good. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with overall wear. Inner band stamped plat. There are some chips and areas of abrasion to the facet edges of the table facet of the sapphire. The sapphire is a vivid blue, with angular colour zoning visible when the sapphire is turned. The diamonds are bright, with small inclusions visible with magnification. One noticeable dark inclusion. Ring size K.
