An early 19th century inlaid mahogany wheel or banjo barometer
J. Castiglione & Co., Malton, circa 1825
The 8-inch silvered main dial reading from 28 to 31 inches of pressure with Remarks, the boxwood-strung trunk with architectural 'broken' pediment over inlaid medallion, ethanol thermometer with silvered scale, flanked by shell paterae, a further medallion to base, 37.75", (96cm) high.
