Lot Description

A selection of three 19th century gold brooches. To include a portrait miniature brooch of a gentleman, a hair, split pearl and enamel mourning brooch dated 1802, together with a carved onyx forget-me-not mourning brooch with enamel and foliate scalloped surround. Lengths 3 to 1.3cms. Total weight 6.2gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.


<li>Portrait brooch with dents and discolouration to the reverse, replacement fittings.

<li>Forget-me-not brooch has been re-enamelled, slightly uneven fisnish and edges.

<li>Onyx with small chip and general abrasion.

<li>Split pearls well matched.

<li>Enamel to dated mourning brooch with small nicks.

<li>Engraving to reverse reads 'Will'm Bullock, Ob't, 17th Jan'y 1802, At 46'., engraving slightly worn to year, may read 1804.
