Lot Description

A late 19th century gold gem-set memorial brooch. The woven hair panel within a split pearl surround, with a circular turquoise cabochon star border. One split pearl replacement. Length 2.4cms. Weight 3.6gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

<li> Split pearls white body colour with some pink overtones and fairly good lustre, and slight typical surface blemishes.<p>

<li> Turquoise bright medium blue, some have dark inclusions which can be seen clearly on the surface with the naked eye. .<p>

<li>Stones in mostly good condition with minor abrasions, some turquoise have very small nibbles to the cabochon edge.<p>
