Lot Description
Five late Georgian to early Victorian memorial brooches. The first of rectangular outline shape, with central glazed panel, to the foliate surround and a border of purple pastes, together with another rectangular brooch with central glazed, woven hair panel, to the diamond-cut frame. Lengths 1.5 to 2cms. Weight 13.7gms.

Condition Report
The condition of this lot is fair to poor, with surface scratches and marks in keeping with age and wear. One brooch has a personal inscription to the reverse with two monograms. The purple pastes are worn to the table facets. Two of the glass panels to the brooches cracked through the width.
