Lot Description

A pair of twentieth century French silver mounted glass dishes, each clear glass circular form with applied silver beaded rim interspersed with foliate motifs and raised on a silver footed base with conforming bead border. Struck with Minerva mark for 950 fineness and maker's mark for Albert Schiffmacher (Paris, from 1912). Diameter measuring 9 inches (23 cm).

Both dishes appear in good overall condition, displaying some expected surface wear, marks and scratches. Some tarnishing to the silver mounts. A few minor surface dints and bumps. Assay and maker's marks are a little rubbed but still legible.
