Lot Description

An early 20th century gold amethyst necklace. Designed as a pear and circular-shape amethyst graduated fringe, with belcher-link spacers and back-chain. Length 38cms. Total weight 12.1gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Amethysts are a fairly well matched deep purple hue, fairly to well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.<p>

<li>Amethysts in good condition with minor abrasions.<p>

<li>Length of gem-set section 17.5cms.

<li>Gold components vary in purity, chain tests as 9ct, clasp as 15ct and stone mounts as 18ct.
