Lot Description

A group of assorted small silver items, comprising a silver mounted circular photograph frame with easel style support verso, hallmarked William Comyns & Sons Ltd, London 1898, a folding knife with mother of pearl handle and silver blade, hallmarked George Unite, Birmingham, probably 1865, a small dish of shell form with curved handle, Birmingham 1863, same maker, a drum mustard pot with shell thumb-piece and blue glass liner, Birmingham 1912, a single napkin ring, Birmingham 1915, a butter knife, Chester 1912, and a continental purse with engraved foliate decoration. Pieces with varying indentations and knocks, particularly to the edge of the photograph frame and purse.

Shell dish knocked and unsteady on base, handle with indentations and knocked, and split near to where handle meets bowl.

Purse unmarked but tests around 92% Ag.
