A mid 20th century gold vari-cut diamond and ruby dress ring.

One ruby deficient. Three diamonds with sizeable chips.

Estimated total diamond weight 0.75ct, principal old-cut diamonds estimated I-J colour, SI1-P1 clarity.

Ring size T. 10.4gms.

<li>Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>One ruby deficient. Three diamonds with sizeable chips.

<li>Some gemstones are later replacements.

<li>Band shows evidence of repair/ resize.


<li>Diamonds fairly well matched in colour.

<li>Diamonds fairly bright, several with dark or central inclusions.<p>

<li>At least three principal old-cut diamonds are noticeably chipped at the sides or across the length of the diamond, eye visible to trained eye.



<li>Rubies are predominantly well matched, medium red to deep pinkish-red hues, well saturated, with good to fair clarity and typical inclusions.<p>

<li>Rubies are in fair condition with abrasions and nicks to the girdle and facet edges, three rubies with chips to facets.<p>


<li>Length of ring head 1.5cms.
