Two 1940's silver sauce boats, the largest of plain, oval form with upwards sloping spout upon three mounted, stepped elliptical feet, having a loop handle, hallmarked James Dixon & Sons Ltd, Sheffield 1943, the smaller example having a waved rim, open scroll handle and shell mounted hoof feet, hallmarked Adie Brothers Ltd, Birmingham 1946. Height of largest 3.75" (9.5cm), overall weight 11.11 ozt (345.6 grams).
