Full Lot Description
An Irish silver pedestal cream jug, the oval central body with vertical, fluted detail, decorated with engraved border and twin opposed cartouche, one having monogram and the other a star, upon oval foot of conforming design and with looped handle attached to shaped rim. Hallmarked probably John West, Dublin 1800. Height 17.5cm, weight 6ozt (192.8g).

Condition Report
- Item is in fair condition, showing some light but general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
- Slope to central body and around handle show some polish residue. Recesses to decoration also show residue on closer inspection.
- Silver is bright and shiny.
- Hallmarks are partially rubbed but still legible.
- Foot appears slightly misshapen to rim, and wobbles on flat surface when pressure is exerted.
- Area around monogram engraved cartouche shows a small compression.
- Interior is quite dirty and tarnished.
- Area around top join to handle is very bumpy and uneven.
