Full Lot Description
A Chinese export silver bowl, of circular form to a plain collet foot, with panelled sides each embellished in relief, one depicting a lobster and crab, another with koi carp and crab, the remaining panels decorated with various flowers and foliage, and one panel also with personal presentation engraving dated 1918. Maker's mark for Wing Nam & Co (Hong Kong, circa 1880-1910). Rim diameter 19cm, gross weight 17.16ozt (533.8g).

Condition Report
- Engraving reads 'Presented to E. L. Smyth Esq by the Members of Wei Hai Wei Masonic Club 1918'
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- Small dint to one side and further minor surface nicks and dints.
- Some heavier scratched marks, scuffs and minor nicks.
- Surface wear and rubbing to areas of the raised decoration causing some slight loss of detail or definition, however appears in good condition overall.
- Maker's marks located to the collet foot, and these are clear and legible.
