A Victorian silver Aesthetic Movement four piece tea set, comprising tea kettle, hot water/milk pot, twin-handled sugar bowl and cream jug, each of bombe square shape and engraved all over with birds and foliage in the japonisme taste, the kettle with simulated bamboo stand and handle. Hallmarked S Smith & Son, London 1876/77. Height of tea kettle 23cm, total gross weight 47.79ozt (1486.6g).

Condition Report
- Each piece also with engraved crest.
- All pieces displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use.
- Some heavier tarnishing and staining to interiors, and dried polish residues.
- Further residues of dried polish to other areas/crevices.
- All pieces with some minor nicks and dints, including around edges and corners.
- Both hinged lids in good working order and close flush.
- Handle section of the hot water/milk pot is now detached from main body.
- Tea kettle with some damage to the horizontal handle, which is very loose and can be easily removed; there is also a repair to one of the legs of the stand so that it is now at a slight angle bending inwards creating a little wobble.
- Hallmarks mostly clear and legible.
