Full Lot Description
Stainless steel case with engraved case back. Numbered D 2253 H. Signed manual wind movement. Black dial. On an unsigned stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp.
This watch was exchanged for free issue cigarettes by Thomas Hardwick Yates, a member of the Lothians & Borders Yeomanry Royal Armoured Corps with a German soldier at the end of the Second World War. His military medals and memoirs were donated to the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds in 2008.

Movement is currently functioning.
Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye.
Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches.
Hands show marks and tarnishing with discolouration to the luminous paint.
Glass has noticeable scratches and marks.
Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints.
Crown has noticeable scratches and dinting.
Third party afterset bracelet has scratches and signs of stretching and twisting to links.
Third party afterset clasp is not currently functioning and will require attention.
Bracelet measures approximately 16cm including case.
