A silver plated nutmeg grater, of oval shape with hinged rasp, and hinge opening box at one end with engraved rising sun crest to the lid, marked twice with maker's name 'J. C & A. LORD', length 12.5cm; together with a small metal panel (a.f). (2).

Condition Report
- Both items displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and nicks
- Nutmeg grater:
- tarnishing and blackening to some areas, especially around the pierced holes of the rasp, and to other crevices
- with many little dints around the oval edge so that metal appears folded and creased in some areas
- hinges appear in working order; slight damage to hinges of box on one end, however the lid does close flush and securely
- Metal panel:
- In very poor overall condition, misshapen with dents and splits
- Possibly once attached to a belt as a slim box or holder?
