Full Lot Description
A George III silver patch or counter box of circular form, the removable cover engraved with stippled and wriggle-work borders, hallmarked Samuel Pemberton, Birmingham 1791, diameter 2.8cm; together with an oval shape box with initialled shield cartouche to the hinged lid, only maker's mark SP to base, possibly also Samuel Pemberton, length 4cm. Gross weight 19.8g. (2).

Condition Report
- Both displaying some general surface wear consistent with their age
- Both with surface marks, scratches and little dints and nicks all over
- Tarnishing to both with a little blackening to some areas and crevices
- Slight loss of detail to areas of the engraved decoration on both boxes
- Circular box; both parts fit well together; circular patch of lighter tone to base; hallmarks located inside to both sections, maker's mark struck five times, marks rubbed in parts but all legible
- Oval box; remnants of a sticker to base; heavier tarnishing and blackening inside and residues of dried polish; slight damage to hinge and crease to lid and it is quite stiff to open and close; struck with single maker's mark only to base
