Full Lot Description
A late Victorian silver novelty table lighter, in the form of a Roman oil lamp, decorated all over with foliate, scroll and mask motifs, with central removable cover (missing taper holders). Hallmarked Deakin & Francis Ltd., Birmingham 1893. Maximum height 8.5cm, and length 11cm, weight 2.36ozt (73.6g).

Condition Report
- Missing taper holders and wick
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with age and use
- A little blackening and residues of dried polish to some areas and crevices
- Some minor surface nicks and dints
- Slight loss of detail or definition to some areas of the decoration
- Hinged lid is slightly offset/out of alignment when closed
- Central removable lid is a good fit
- Wobbles slightly on base
- Hallmarks clear and legible with minor rubbing; removable lid appears unmarked
