Full Lot Description
A pair of Victorian silver-gilt grape scissors, the handles formed as fruiting grape vine with textured detailing, hallmarks partly obscured, probably Francis Higgins II, London, length 18.5cm; together with a pair of William IV silver sugar tongs, in Fiddle Thread pattern, hallmarked London 1836, probably John Harris V, length 14.5cm. Gross weight 6.46ozt (201g). (2).

Condition Report
- Both displaying some general surface scratches, marks and wear, commensurate with their age and use
- Both with some general tarnishing, and blackening/dried polish residues to some areas and crevices
- Grape scissors:
- Gilding a little dirty and faded
- Decoration on the handles appears in good condition with minimal loss of detail or definition
- Scissor action appears in good working order and the arms close flush
- Hallmarks located inside the blades, hallmarks punches are blackened and dirty so some of the marks are difficult to read, particularly the date letter, possibly 1843 or 1845
- Sugar tongs
- Heavier patches of tarnishing to some areas
- Arms in good alignment when pressed together
- Heavier wear and little nicks and dints to the tips of both bowls
- Hallmark punches blackened but the marks are clear and legible, maker's mark a little rubbed
