A George V novelty silver Christmas cracker, of typical form with geometric pierced decoration, reeded foliate borders, and pull-off cover. Hallmarked Sydney & Co., Birmingham 1912. Length 10.5cm, gross weight 18.8g.

Condition Report
- Containing some pot pourri, difficult to remove all of it as only one of the ends can be easily removed; it is possible that the other end is also detachable but is currently jammed in position
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing, commensurate with age and use
- Some minor surface dints and nicks
- Slight loss of detail to the foliate reed borders
- A little blackening and residues to some areas and crevices
- Some small dark patches to the centre of the body, suggesting possible solder repairs
- Hallmark punches blackened but marks are all clearly legible, maker's mark a little rubbed
- Engraved to the middle with registered no. (partly worn) and PAT 1904/1910
