Full Lot Description
A George V small silver jewellery box, of octagonal form and raised on four cabriole style feet, the hinged lid with engine-turned stripes and foliate scroll borders, with a centrally engraved monogram, and opening to a material lined interior. Hallmarked Henry Matthews, Birmingham 1920. Length 8.5cm, gross weight 3.64ozt (113.2g).

Condition Report
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, and scratches, commensurate with age and use
- Some general tarnishing with a little blackening and residues to some areas and crevices
- Some splits and solder repairs visible around the silver edge underneath
- Knocks to a couple of the feet and they lean inwards slightly
- Hinged lid does not close flush; it rises up a little so that a gap remains
- Material lining is faded; the base is loose and is slightly torn at one of the corners
- Hallmark punches blackened and marks a little rubbed, but all still clearly legible
- Gross weight includes material lining and base
