Andrew Beer (1862-1954) - Pigeon portrait of two stood birds in a woodland landscape, painted 2 and 2A. A Champion Stock Pair, parents of 'Big Spangle'. 'Little Spangle' & 'Manoeuvres' all Bordeaux Prize Winners. The former also flying Mirande & Dax. Also parents of E.E Jackson's 'Oliver White Tail'. F Gregory's Southport 'Lloyd George'. Mr Geo Levi Taylor's Syndey famous 'Dixie' 'Cock' & numerous other good birds.. The Property of Oliver A. Dix', oil on board, signed lower right and dated 1916, image 39cm x 49.5cm
