- Both displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use

- Bowls with many surface nicks and minor dints, and heavier wear around the edges and tips where the metal feels thinner, more so on the Exeter spoon
- Loss of definition to the drops on the heels of the reverse of each bowl
- Some slight loss of detail to the bright-cut engraving but remains fairly bright
- Hallmarks located to the reverse of each terminal; Exeter hallmarks rubbed in parts but all still legible; hallmark punches on the London spoon are blackened but marks are all clear and in good order
