A pair of Victorian silver novelty sugar tongs, modelled in the form of a monkey with textured fur detailing, arms outstretched to hand grips, and feet resting on oval ring handles. Hallmarked London 1887, with maker's mark AWB, probably Albert William Barker. Length 13.7cm, weight 2.58ozt (80.3g).

Condition Report
- Appear in fairly good overall condition
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, and scratches
- With a little tarnishing/blackening, and residues of dried polish, to some areas and crevices
- Some surface rubbing and slight loss of detail to areas of the decoration
- Scissor action appears in good working order with arms and legs in alignment
- Hallmarks located to the ring handles, these appear a little squashed/distorted in places but mostly legible; some dried polish residues in the punches
