Full Lot Description
A George I Britannia silver mug, of slightly tapered form with double scroll handle and raised above a spread foot, with some later chased floral and scroll decoration and later, personally engraved cartouche. Hallmarked Gabriel Sleath, London 1722. Height to rim 9.5cm, weight 6.44ozt (200.6g).

Condition Report
- Cartouche engraved with name and dated '4th July 1950'
- With some later chased decoration
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with age and use
- With a little blackening and residues of dried polish to some areas and crevices
- Interior heavily stained and tarnished
- Rim is a little misshapen
- Some small surface dints to the body, mainly around the lower section, and surface slightly pushed in at the lower handle join
- Slight knocks around the base rim, and wobbles very slightly
- Hallmarks located to the base scattered in a group, some rubbing and distortion and residues of dried polish in the punches, but still legible; maker's mark struck twice
