Full Lot Description
A late Victorian silver aide-memoire, of rounded rectangular form, decorated all over with bright-cut engraved foliage, enclosing vacant cartouche to the front, and opening to a lined interior with compartments. Hallmarked Hilliard & Thomason, Birmingham 1897. Measuring 10.2cm by 7.2cm, gross weight 3.31ozt (103g).

Condition Report
- Gross weight is inclusive of all materials
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, and scratches, commensurate with age and use
- Heavier wear around edges and corners with some minor surface dints and bruises visible
- Some general tarnishing but the engraved decoration remains bright overall and retains much of the detail
- Hinge and clasp in good working order, the case closes neatly and securely although it is a little stiff to open
- Interior lining with some general surface wear and marks, and dark stains/patches to some areas and parts
- Hallmark punches blackened and a little rubbing to some of the marks, but all still clearly legible
